EVEN though it shares its engine and chassis with the Kia, the Santa Fe will work out more expensive when it comes to routine maintenance. Hyundai’s three-year servicing pack costs £499, compared with £349 for a similar package on the Sorento.
Neither model will be as costly to keep on the road as the Mitsubishi, however; three years’ servicing on the Outlander comes in at £700.
The Santa Fe and Sorento cost a similar amount for our sample driver to insure, at £1,090 and £1,043, although the Outlander undercuts both cars at £979.
