THE most hardcore of hatchbacks is set to return late this year, but as with the smaller Renaultsport Clio, the new Mégane RS will get a five-door body for the first time – and its new look is previewed in our exclusive image.

While practicality will be given a boost, we can expect a focused driving experience just as with its predecessor, and the 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder will be pumped up to 300bhp. Front-wheel drive will be used, although Renault will throw the latest electronic driver aids and torque vectoring at the car to ensure it’s competitive.
