OUR favourite city car is set to benefit from an update to bring it into line with the Volkswagen up! and SEAT Mii with which it shares its platform. As with those cars, the changes to the Citigo are subtle, but at the front Skoda has introduced a reprofiled bonnet and sharper lights.

Inside, there’s a new infotainment system, while the ubiquitous Skoda brolly is stashed under the passenger seat. The engine range remains unchanged, so there’s no sign of the 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder turbo making the jump from the up! to its Skoda sibling.
