THE DRIVER’S CHOICE
BMW 3 Series
FOR: Fun to drive, strong range of engines AGAINST: Pricey options, a common sight
THE 3 Series is the iconic compact executive car and is now in its sixth generation. Although it’s not quite as appealing new as the XE, it’s still an excellent car with a balanced rear-wheel-drive chassis, a strong range of engines and a simple-to-operate cabin.
However, it’s not the freshest design, options are expensive and its sheer popularity means it lacks a truly special feel. In the classifieds was a 65-reg 320d Sport auto with 12,500 miles for £20,745.
