FERRARI’S winless 2016 was a major disappointment for all concerned following a very strong 2015 campaign. The team has also lost technical director James Allison to Mercedes, but work he completed on this year’s car before departing should still benefit the scuderia in the early races at least. Vettel is always ready to seize an opportunity and will once again look to be a thorn in Mercedes’ side, while Raikkonen seems content with a number-two role in what could turn out to be his final season in motorsport’s top level.
