Vision E concept puts Skoda EV in spotlight FAMILY LOOK
SKODA will present a thinly veiled glimpse of a radical new electric vehicle at April’s Shanghai Motor Show with the Vision E concept. Official teaser images released by Skoda show that the car will be a coupé-suv, and it’s likely we’ll see a production version of the Vision E on sale by 2020.
Skoda has had ambitions to develop a coupé-suv for some time, but the Shanghai concept reveals that the firm is at least considering switching the vehicle from being just another Kodiaq derivative to an all-electric flagship.

chiselled lines have similarities, too. The Tesla-style nose gets a grille-shaped profile and strips of LED lighting; these are possibly reserved to mark out Skoda’s EV range in the future. Underneath the eye-catching bodywork will be the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles and first used by VW’S I.D. concept.
Electric range could be anywhere between 248 miles and 370 miles, while the platform also has the flexibility to add front or rear electric motors, creating two- or four-wheel-drive variants.
