THE 2017 Shanghai Motor Show treated us to an array of new production and concept cars from some of the world’s biggest and best-known manufacturers. Gone are the days where Auto Shanghai was merely an excuse to laugh at China’s copycat cars; some genuinely high-profile launches made it a show to rival those in Geneva, Tokyo and New York.
