Meeke aims to get back on course

-

LEWIS Hamilton isn’t the only Brit looking for a change of fortune this weekend, as Citroen’s Kris Meeke is aiming for victory in this weekend’s round of the World Rally Championship in Argentina.

The Ulsterman endured a frustrating opening two events before taking a thrilling victory on the third round in Mexico. However, an engine failure on the Tour de Corse saw him retire from the lead. The event was eventually won by Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville.

Meanwhile, rumours suggest that former Volkswagen factory ace Andreas Mikkelsen is set to join Hyundai in May’s Rallye de Portugal as part of a four-car squad. The Norwegian ace tried one of the outfit’s i20 Coupé WRCS at a recent test.
