VAUXHALL ASTRA
Navi 900 Intellilink Standard Key features: Sat-nav, Onstar service
ALL Astra models get Apple Carplay and Android Auto as standard, while SRI Nav cars also feature the Navi 900 Intellilink system that benefits from a larger eight-inch touchscreen to match the VW ’s.
While the graphics aren’t quite as crisp as the Golf ’s, the system is incredibly functional. It also features a logical layout to the menus that makes it easy to access various functions and enter nav destinations.
However, you don’t always have to use them, or the touchscreen, because SRI models and above get Vauxhall’s Onstar system. This service allows you to call a concierge, who can upload a destination to your car’s sat-nav remotely, while there’s also a safety benefit.
On top of this, there’s Bluetooth with audio streaming and DAB radio, which goes for the Astra’s rivals here, too. It also has a subscription-based 4G Internet connection. You can add the Onstar and online features to lower-spec models for an extra £450.
