GT Radial launches new hot SUV tyre

OWNERS of fast SUVS now have even more tyre choice. After we reported on the Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 SUV back in Issue 1,469, GT Radial has launched the Sportactive SUV.

The newcomer (above) uses the same tech as the regular Sportactive, but with a deeper sidewall and larger sizes available to fit 18 and 19-inch wheels. Its ultra-wide grooves dispel water and increase contact with the road; GT Radial says this gives better wet handling and braking distances. See www.gtradial.co.uk for details.

Safety worry forces recall of cycle rack

HALFORDS has recalled a roofmounted bike rack over safety concerns. The Exodus Roof Mount Cycle Carrier – item code 210150 – could be fitted with incorrectly installed plastic safety catches, leaving the bikes insecure.

The chain is directly contacting 440 customers who supplied their E-mails at the point of sale, and urges any other buyers to come forward.

Any customers affected should call Halfords on 0345 504 5353 or return the product to their nearest store.

Supercar show set for Dunsfold return

DUNSFOLD Park in Surrey will host 2017’s Supercar Event on 24-25 June.

Now in its 11th year, the event is more than just a stationary car show and offers amazing rides around the iconic track in a variety of supercars, as well as displays, raffles and a VIP marquee.
