10. Hyundai
90.16%
IT’S inside where most Hyundai owners are the happiest in this year’s survey.
They rank the South Korean car manufacturer eighth in the interior and comfort category thanks to good scores throughout its models’ cabins, from rear legroom to satisfaction with interior styling. In fact, there isn’t a single category in which Hyundai does particularly badly. Practicality is another area of strength for the company, as it’s rated high for seating flexibility. Families are also happy with the quality and number of child-safety features in their models, and rank the brand ninth for practicality.
Running costs are key for families, too, and although Hyundai finishes ninth here, it is more down to an excellent score in servicing bills. Fuel economy, along with insurance and tax costs, were not rated highly by owners.
Safety features were ranked 11th, and Hyundai can be proud of the low share of faults highlighted to us by owners, reflected in the 10th place for reliability and build quality.
