KIA can congratulate itself on a well deserved podium finish in this year’s Driver Power manufacturers’ survey.

First place in the infotainment, connectivity and electrics category is hugely impressive, as this section was fiercely fought. Another key result for Kia was the third place it achieved in the interior and comfort class, where owners praised the South Korean firm’s model line-up for having greatlooking interiors, comfortable seating, lots of space and good visibility.

Practicality received even more praise with a second place finish. Drivers were very impressed with their Kias’ seating flexibility, luggage space and child-friendly features. The engine line-up wasn’t equally loved, though, with owners ranking it 10th. This is largely down to buyers wanting better acceleration and a smoother gearbox.

If Kia wants to go higher than third next year, fuel economy is another area it needs to improve on, because owners marked it down, with the brand finishing 12th for running costs overall.
