Applying wax or sealant can be hard work, but it pays off with great body protection

WAXING is one of the most timeconsuming jobs you can do in the car care world, so when you make the effort you want the added protection to last.

And that durability is at the heart of our test. We take into account price and ease of use, but the overall result is heavily weighted towards longevity.

We applied 25 waxes and sealants to a bonnet, then monitored water beading over eight winter weeks. Some of our products lasted just a couple of weeks, while the best were still shifting water at the end.

All could be put on to washed and dried paintwork, unlike some of the latest sealants which require extensive preparation before being applied.
