Hyundai i20

FOR: Good kit, solid build, five-year warranty AGAINST: Firm ride, dull image and looks

-

HYUNDAI’S i20 probably isn’t the first car that springs to mind when you think of a high-end supermini, but this is a decent used buy. It looks smart, feels up-todate and drives fairly well, while the new 1.0-litre turbo engine injects some performance into the mix.

Top-of-the-range models come loaded with toys, too, although the i20 lacks the ride and handling balance of the Polo. A 2016 1.0 T-GDI Premium Nav with 8,000 miles can be yours for £11,995.

?? ?? IN this year’s Driver Power survey, the Hyundai came an impressive 29th. Reliability was one of the highlights for owners in the poll, something that’s helped by the standard five-year warranty offered across the range.

?? ?? IT may not be as lavishly trimmed as the Polo or as interestingly designed as the DS 3, but the i20’s interior is a good compromise. There’s lots of space, although you’ll need a Premium Nav model for the central touchscreen.
