SEAT beat Peugeot in our Driver Power 2017 survey, but the Spanish brand trailed in our latest dealer poll, with its franchises taking 31st position and finishing last, to Peugeot’s 10th place. Like the 3008, the Ateca gets autonomous braking as standard, which helped it achieve a five-star Euro NCAP rating.

SE Technology spec doesn’t offer the same level of safety tech as the Peugeot in Allure trim, but lane assist and automatic high beam are part of the £480 Driving Assistance Pack 1. Full LED headlights are included and provide great illumination at night.
