Verdict
WHILE many manufacturers are clambering to bring their first EV to market, Nissan is busy launching its second-generation Leaf. We’ll have to wait to drive a Uk-spec car before giving a definitive verdict on ride and handling, but the extra performance is welcome and the much-vaunted e-pedal works brilliantly in practice. In fact, you’ll find you hardly ever need to use the conventional brakes. With a bigger boot and cabin, plus a realistic 200-mile range, it should suit more drivers than ever, too. ★★★★★
