THIS bulb is dated by its promise of just 110 per cent more light, but the Osram matched rivals making bolder claims. It could have finished higher, although there was a big difference between our samples. The gap was the largest on test and was apparent in the tunnel where the cut-off lines to control glare on dipped beam were fuzzy on one and not the other. Its best result was fifth in the peak brightness test. Both bulbs also had an overall light output that was some way behind rivals.
