THE ZS feels like a definite step forward for MG, thanks to its eyecatching looks and a more pleasant interior compared with other models in the firm’s range. Make no mistake, though: while the cabin looks better, it’s still cheap to the touch, plus the 1.0-litre engine is not nearly economical enough. However, if practicality and value are your main concerns, MG’S new SUV should have a place on your shopping list.
