Why doesn’t UK get same VW deal as US?

FROM: Pete C. Willan DURING a visit to Texas last week, I noticed Volkswagen is offering a six-year warranty on its new SUVS; I can only assume this is to revive consumer confidence. VW’S UK warranty is just three years. It would be nice to get the same deal as our US cousins.
