FORD’S smallest SUV certainly got off to a rocky start, but the Ecosport is still going as the company carries on with attempts to get its South American import right for the European market.

The current car is better than the original – although that’s not saying much. Gone is the rear door-mounted spare wheel, and in comes more standard kit.

If you want 4WD, you’ll have to wait until next year, when the Mk3 version of the Ecosport hits dealers.
