MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS
THE distinctive Eclipse Cross is Mitsubishi’s all-new take on a small family SUV. We’ve found the optional CVT automatic box does the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine no favours, but if you stick with a manual and front-wheel drive the Eclipse Cross is a worthwhile rival to the Peugeot 3008 and SEAT Ateca.
A forthcoming 2.2-litre diesel version should add even more appeal to what is already a capable motorway cruiser, while four-wheel drive is an option.
