THE third-generation Kia Sportage was a very strong package wrapped in a striking-looking crossover body. But the current Mk4 toned down the styling, and it’s arguable that its appeal has faded a little as a result.
However, the Sportage remains a strong package, with a spacious, well built cabin, a decent driving experience and range of engine and trim options to suit most needs. Four-wheel drive is offered with the torquey 2.0 CRDI diesel in two power outputs, while top-spec cars have lots of kit.
