MERCEDES will rapidly expand its range of plug-in vehicles in the next decade, and the 2019 EQC SUV will be the next fully electric model to hit showrooms.

The EQC will offer space for five and a range of up to 300 miles. EQ models will also feature exterior and cabin designs that are unique from the rest of the Mercedes range.

Tesla-rivalling performance is hinted at from two electric motors, which will provide four-wheel-drive security, while new fast-charging tech could allow 60 miles of range in just five minutes.
