ASTON is one of a handful of sports car makers making their first ventures into the world of SUVS. And until the electric Rapide saloon arrives, the SUV will be the British car maker’s first EV.

Previewed by the DBX Concept, the Tesla Model X rival will be built by hand at a brand new facility in Wales.

While a fully electric version is on the way, Aston will also offer the SUV with the option of turbocharged V8 and V12 engines. Four-wheel drive will feature on an Aston for the first time as well, although this isn’t really meant to be a high-end Land Rover rival.
