ONE of the first supermini-based crossovers on the scene, the Captur has been a big hit for Renault.

It’s based on the same platform as the Clio, but with a raised ride height and chunkier body that liberates a little more interior space. This is helped by the sliding rear bench, which allows you to trade rear legroom for more boot capacity.

The Captur is perfectly competent to drive, if not terribly exciting.
