American Edition

TO celebrate the M3 sports saloon’s 30th year on sale in the US, BMW has launched the 30 Years American Edition. Based on the already upgraded M3 Competition Pack, it has a ‘frozen’ red paint scheme, gold alloys and a fixed rear wing. Inside are patriotic red, white and blue leather seats. Only one car will be built, costing $129,630 (£99k).

Elsewhere, BMW showcased its range of M Performance parts, including upgrades for the latest M5 and X3 SUV, as well as sporty tweaks for the recently facelifted 4 Series Gran Coupé and 740e plug-in hybrid limo.
