THE battle for the Formula One championship may be over, but you can rerun the fight between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel with the latest slot car set to join Carrera’s line-up.

Officially licensed, highly detailed 1:32-scale Mercedes and Ferrari F1 models fight it out around a 7.3-metre digital track that allows cars to switch lanes at the touch of a button. The Night Contest set costs £299.99.

The same track is used in the £349.99 Passion of Speed digital set, which pitches a Ferrari 488 and Porsche RSR against each other.

For a more light-hearted approach, try the £159.99 Most Wanted set, featuring a Sheriff’s Chevrolet Camaro trying to catch a classic Ford Mustang GT. And for younger racers there’s the £115 Disney Pixar Cars 3 set, with Lightning Mcqueen racing Dinoco Cruz on a 4.5-metre track.

Also new is the £549.99, 1:24-scale Race of Victory set. It has an eight-metre track, wireless controllers and Mercedes and Audi GT3 racers.
