Our guide to which trim level might suit you

-

THERE are two trim levels to choose from with the Amarok: Trendline and Highline. The 201bhp version offers more than enough performance, so we’d stick with that engine.

If you choose this unit in Trendline trim, based on an annual three-year/10,000-mile contract-hire deal with an initial rental of £3,000 (plus a £1,000 contribution from VW), it costs £293 a month. It gets a 6.3inch touchscreen display with smartphone connectivity, 17-inch wheels, a leather steering wheel and a lockable tailgate.

Move up to Highline trim with the same engine, and you’ll pay £376 a month on the same terms. This adds 18-inch wheels, xenon lights and heated seats to the specification.

The higher-powered 221bhp V6 model is available only in Highline trim, but you’ll pay £391 a month for that model.
