THE latest DAB+A can be connected with smartphones for setting up and station display, while the system contains an FM transmitter which displays DAB station names using RDS on the car’s head unit.

It also has a DAB audio output on a 3.5mm jack socket, which can be wired into head units with aux in or phono ports. It’s easy to set up the DAB+A using ing the remote control, but any smartphone ne with the Dension DAB app makes the initial installation far simpler.

A remote control is included, but a 12V power plug costs £10 and a stick--on windscreen aerial is £20. The reception quality using the aerial was excellent and the display showed the DAB station name and running programme text.
