AN impressive DAB product with handsfree pairing. Digital radio is transferred either by transmitting to the FM band on a spare frequency or, if your set has an audio aux in, plugging into a stereo jack – which gives better sound quality – or using rear phono input sockets.

The magnetic ground connection can be fiddly to hook up to the car’s metal roof through the edge of the windscreen headlining, but it’s worth doing this for the better DAB reception it provides. Pure recommends that the antenna should be no closer than 40mm to the A-pillar for the best results.

It’s a neat solution that’s devoid of wires to the head unit and has first-class reception and sound quality, particularly when using an audio cable connection.
