THIS book doesn’t break any new ground, which is disappointing, but enthusiasts will enjoy the wealth of period photos here. All the info is there, although in some places it’s oddly presented; one particular moment sees the author leaping from contemporary road tests to Jaguar setting up an assembly line in Mexico. Still, at £40 it’s good value, especially with some gorgeous commissioned photos.
