Which driving game puts armchair racers on pole? E-type Jaguar Restoration Manual

- Martin Saarinen David Barzilay

GAMING petrolheads have never had it so good, with 2017 heralding a new era of cracking motor racing titles.

Whatever you want – from rallying to street racing and F1 – there’s something on offer for everyone. And leading the tyre-smoking charge is this pair: Project CARS 2 and Forza Motorsport 7.

They’re both direct rivals to the latest iteration of Gran Turismo and offer a huge variety of cars and tracks for gamers to master – but which is best?

For the wealth of options and the beautiful graphics it offers, Forza is hard to beat; and for the casual gamer or younger driver, it’s a lot easier to pick up and play than Project CARS 2.

But for hardcore racers, the behindthe-wheel gameplay and brilliant feedback from each individual model makes Project CARS 2 the one to go for.

THINK of this as a Haynes manual on steroids and you won’t be far wrong. High-quality photographs and in-depth, step-by-step procedures talk you through the total restoration of an E-type. Most classic car owners could only dream of a manual of this quality to help their projects. All we’d prefer is line drawings rather than photos for occasionally tricky processes.
