Curvy look for new Infiniti saloon
INFINITI has revealed the first image of its Detroit Motor Show concept, which will preview the firm’s new generation of design language.
Called the Q Inspiration Concept, the show car is a rakish saloon with an elongated coupé-like rear end. A new LED tail-light spans the width of the back end, while dramatic cutaways feature behind the front wheelarches.
Infiniti has only released one image so far, but an earlier teaser suggested that a new grille and sharp, slender headlights will define the front end.
The concept – which is tipped to feature an all-electric powertrain under the skin – is the first major project to be overseen by Infiniti’s new executive design director Karim Habib, who joined Nissan’s luxury division from BMW last year.
Habib says the Q Inspiration will “take traditional sedan architecture to its next stage of evolution”.
