King heads Stateside to take on Indycar

FORMER Manor F1 test and reserve driver Jordan King is set to embark on a new phase of his career in 2018 as he heads Stateside for a seat in the Indycar series.

The 23-year-old Brit, who raced in Formula 2 last season, will join Ed Carpenter Racing (ECR) for the street and road-course rounds of the American single-seater series.

“I’m beyond excited to get started in the Indycar series,” said King. “After driving in F1 practice in 2016, the 2017 season wasn’t what I hoped for.

“I’m looking forward to working with ECR; we have the capability to do well.”
