PRACTICALITY

-

Fold the SL’S roof away and boot capacity drops from a useful 485 litres to 364 litres. However, this is still more than enough for two people’s luggage and 192 litres more load space than in the Lexus.

ROOF The folding roof means the Mercedes misses out on the two small rear seats you get in the Lexus. Whether you use these for short passenger trips or as extra luggage space, they add an element of extra practicality. But the LC loses out on the SL’S versatility. The electric roof – operated by buttons in centre console (left) – is the Mercedes’ party piece and adds another dimension to the driving experience.
