Autonomous tech tie-up takes shape

HYUNDAI and the Volkswagen Group have announced separate partnerships with California firm Aurora Innovations, a company that produces complete autonomous driving systems for cars.

Aurora’s driverless tech will be tested on Hyundai’s FCEV (left), while VW plans to use it to launch on-demand car sharing fleets under its MOIA brand. This will be tested in up to five cities by 2021.
