Watch gives scrap ’Stangs a new life
A CLASSIC Ford Mustang is the dream for many petrolheads, but what happens when a ’Stang is beyond saving? Danish company REC Watches trawls the globe for scrap Mustangs, and salvages components to create watches.
The unique, self-winding timepieces cost from $1,495 (around £1,116), and each one features the VIN and year of production of the car from which it’s been taken. The dials and hands are influenced by the car’s dash. Go to www.recwatches.com.
Owners make £12m renting driveways
RENTING out your driveway while you’re not using it could earn you a pretty penny, as figures from Yourparkingspace.co.uk show.
It’s revealed end-of-year stats for 2017, and says that collectively driveways and empty parking spaces made owners £12million in 2017.
Around a third of earnings came from London, with Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Manchester completing the top five. You can find out more, or list your own driveway, at www.yourparkingspace.co.uk.
