Connected cars help find parking spaces

FORD is reducing the stress of finding an empty parking space with new vehicle-to-vehicle technology.

Currently on trial in Milton Keynes, Bucks, the tech uses connected cars’ parking sensors to detect nearby vehicles and highlight spaces that may be free. This info is collated on to a crowd-sourced map, helping drivers find a space easily. However, this so-called ‘collaborative parking’ is still likely to be a few years away.
