WHEN the current Mercedes E-class arrived in the executive class, it instantly established itself as the saloon to buy, thanks to its sumptuous, S-classinspired interior and technology.
While competition has undoubtedly hotted up, the E-class remains a strong all-round package, and is right up there for performance, comfort and luxury.
The current model was too new to be included in our most recent Driver Power satisfaction survey, but Mercedes came a disappointing 21st in the makers’ chart.
