And all-new RX L is in for a stretch

THE Lexus RX L (above) is now on sale in the UK, with first deliveries expected next month.

Three versions of the sevenseater are available for now. The basic SE starts from £50,995, representing a £2,350 premium over the regular RX SE. The price gap is virtually mirrored by the rest of the range, with the Luxury starting at £54,095 and the Premier priced from £61,995.

Revealed late last year at the LA Motor Show, the RX L slots into a growing Lexus SUV line-up that’s on the verge of becoming four models strong. It will serve as the brand’s Volvo XC90 rival.

To squeeze in the additional row of seating, Lexus has stretched the length of the standard RX by 110mm. The hybrid model is equipped with a 308bhp 450h powertrain.
