Toyota’s seven-inch touchscree­n infotainme­nt unit is way behind the curve. The graphics lack clarity and there aren’t as many smartphone connectivi­ty features as in the 208. It is fitted as standard, though.

QUALITY

The driving experience is at the forefront of the agenda here, but these models have to appeal to more discerning buyers. The poor-quality plastics inside mean it’s not as pleasing as the 208’s cabin and trails on quality.
