Which trim level might suit you?

UN­LIKE the Eclipse Cross, there are two petrol en­gine op­tions on the XV, in­clud­ing a less pow­er­ful 1.6i vari­ant. The 2.0i Lin­eartronic XV we’ve tested comes in two trim lev­els, start­ing with SE spec.

Put down an iden­ti­cal de­posit to our deals on the Eclipse Cross (£3,000) and you’ll pay £391 per month on a three-year, 10,000 miles per an­num con­tract, helped by a £1,000 con­tri­bu­tion from Subaru.

SE spec comes well equipped, with the Eye­sight tech, Carplay and An­droid Auto, cli­mate con­trol, keyless en­try and go, a re­vers­ing cam­era, DAB, Blue­tooth and cruise con­trol all in­cluded. Step­ping up to the SE Pre­mium model we’ve tested adds sat-nav and elec­tric leather seats. It costs £432 per month. Given the gen­er­ous spec on the SE ver­sion, we’d opt for this model.
