HOT in the wheeltracks of its new runflat range, UK manufacturer Davanti has expanded its line-up further by launching the Terratoura all-terrain tyre.
It promises a refined ride on the tarmac and extreme ability away from it with a 50/50 on/off-road bias, plus is claimed to deliver strong winter performance.
It is only the seventh all-terrain tyre to be given the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3-PMSF) certification for its performance on snow, making it suitable for a wide range of tough driving conditions.
Davanti says that during its assessments and benchmarking tests in Spain, Finland and at the Millbrook proving ground in Bedfordshire, the Terratoura outperformed all-terrain tyres made by established premium brands, posting shorter stopping distances on ice, gravel and asphalt.
The manufacturer adds the Terratoura’s performance is down to various factors, including specialist stone ejection ribs, a hi-tech silica compound and longitudinal channels for optimal water clearance.
Available to order from around November, the Terratoura will launch in sizes suitable for 15, 16 and 17-inch rims, 205 to 265mm widths and profiles of 65 to 85.
Load ratings range from 106 to 121, while S, T and H speed ratings (up to 112, 118 and 130mph) will be available. Buyers will also be able to choose from black or white sidewall text on their tyres.
