ASTON Martin is on a roll, with the DB11 selling strongly and an extremely positive reception for the new Vantage. At the heart of it all – and a key element of the team driving the next generation of Astons – is Matt Becker, who joined in 2014 after over 26 years at Lotus. He has a reputation for exacting thoroughness and an ability to engineer cars that work on roads as well as race tracks. Those qualities will come in useful as Aston embarks on a new-product blitz that is expected to include its first mid-engined supercar.
