PETER Fleet took charge of Ford’s Asia-pacific division just too late to make 2017’s Brit List. But the Hertfordshire man, who joined Ford of Britain as a trainee in 1989, is set to play a key role in a region that includes China. The ingredients are in place for Fleet to make big gains – not least Ford’s huge commitment to the EVS that are being legislated into the mainstream in China. Chief among them could be the results of a new joint venture with local firm Zoyte to build affordable EVS that don’t even wear Ford badges.
