IT appears to have been a quiet year for Mark Adams – the man responsible for the look of big-sellers like the current Corsa and Astra. But behind the scenes he’s likely to have been busier than ever, thanks to PSA Peugeot-citroen’s takeover of Vauxhall-opel. We know we’ve seen the last Vauxhall launched on the firm’s existing platforms. And given the timeframes involved, Adams and his designers must be working flat out to adapt existing creations for PSA chassis. The first test of this will be the new Corsa, due within 18 months.
