PROMOTION came just too late to affect Robin Page’s position in 2017’s Brit List, but his move to Volvo vicepresident of design sees him jump 13 places this year. Having joined Volvo from Bentley in 2013, Page translated ‘Swedish cool’ into sophisticated, relaxing, well-finished cabins. He was an obvious choice to replace Thomas Ingenlath when the German moved to Volvo’s EV brand, Polestar. Volvo’s immediate product plan should be mapped out, letting Page focus on cars developed on the firm’s next generation of platforms.
