THE Renault, Mitsubishi and Nissan Alliance announced in March a management shake-up in a bid to double cost saving from five billion euros in 2016 to €10bn by 2022. This means a new role for Colin Lawther, who was overseeing Nissan supply chain and buying in Europe. He’s now part of a team focused on supply chain and manufacturing management; but instead of just Nissan, he’ll be using his expertise to get the most (in capacity and quality) from carmaking capacity around the world.
