WITH the Formula One title fight shaping up to be the best in years, Codemasters has trailered this all-new F1 2018 racing game.
Set to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 24 August to coincide with the Belgian GP, the game features all the official teams, drivers and circuits of 2018. That means a return to France with Circuit Paul Ricard and the German GP at Hockenheim.
Gameplay trailers suggest improved lighting and graphics, while the Energy Recovery System is now under manual control, boosting strategy alongside tyre and fuel management. Last year career modes received an in-depth R&D overhaul, and now there are even more layers.
A reporter character will ask questions in press conferences and interviews, with your responses shaping your relationship with team bosses and affecting your likelihood of being offered a drive for the next season.
Classic cars include Jenson Button’s titlewinning 2009 Brawn and the 2003 Williams of Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. Both will feature in the pre-order Headline Edition and as downloadable content after the game releases, with more set to follow.

PERFECT vision is the focus of the latest two products to join Meguiar’s range. Part of the Perfect Clarity line-up, the glasscare newcomers form a two-step process. The Polishing Compound (236ml) aims to remove bonded contaminants such as pollution and oily residue that conventional glass cleaners leave behind. It works like a polishing compound on paintwork and, similarly, the clean finish needs sealing in.
This is where the second new product comes in. Glass Sealant (118ml) provides a water-repellent coating, which Meguiar’s says is super durable and also makes glass easy to clean. A microfibre Detailing Mitt (£9) has also been added to the range, to make hard-to-reach places easier to clean.
