All 108s registered after 1 April 2017 cost £140 a year to tax.

EVERY 108 needs to be serviced annually. The 1.0-litre motor has a 10,000-mile limit, while the 1.2-litre is 16,000 miles. First and second check-ups are £199 and £249, yet once a 108 is three years old, maintenance is £179 or £249. Dealers often run further offers, though.

The 1.0-litre engine is chain-driven, but the 1.2-litre needs its cambelt replacing at six years, or 64,000 miles, for £399. Brake fluid (£59) needs changing every two years, while fresh coolant is required at 100,000 miles, then every 40,000 miles. An air-con service is £199.
